Job Description

The role will involve being placed with an experienced engineer/mentor throughout your training period, on the job training is provided throughout, and you will be field based dealing with a vast range of different customers and systems within homes, businesses, schools, and industrial sites.

Mostly within 50 miles of our head office, with very occasional working away or overtime.

Upon qualification you will be provided with a company van and all equipment to work alone or within a specific team (Installation) and you will be required to join the 24 hr on call rota with additional working hours paid in addition. Hours of working: 37.5 hours a week Monday – Friday

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control

• Video Surveillance

• Intruder Alarms

• Fire Alarms

Entry Requirements

• Maths and English GCSE's at grade 4/C or above

• Any previous work experience dealing with customers is preferred

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Walsall centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

• Sit annual assessments at the centre
