Employer Description
Our main services include installation, maintenance and repairs of intruder alarms, closed circuit television (CCTV) and electronic access control. Other services include public address systems and IP network installation. Services are provided for private, commercial and public sector clients. The apprentice engineer will be mentored by experienced engineers. Support and practical onsite training will be provided to allow knowledge building, whilst learning and improving upon the practical techniques required to carry out the duties of an installation and service engineer.
Job Description
As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
Access Control
Video Surveillance
Intruder Alarms
Entry Requirements
Maths and English GCSE at grade 4/C or above
Drivers licence isn't required initially, but will be expected to obtain this by the end of the apprenticeship
The applicant will be required to undergo satisfactory security screening, Police and DBS checks prior to commencing employment. Vision Technology Ltd will arrange this
The successful applicant will demonstrate a genuine practical interest in electronics and IT sectors
Good communication and literary skills are required, some computer experience an advantage
Training to be Provided
This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.
Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Warrington center, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
