Job Description
As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
Access Control
Video Surveillance
Intruder Alarms
Fire Alarms
Equipment sourced from reputable manufacturers in the industry, including Texecom, Ajax, Advanced, C-Tec, Axis, Hikvision, 2N and BPT
Entry Requirements
A driving license would be highly advantageous, but exceptions will be made for a strong local candidate who can reliably commute to work
Maths and English at grade 4 (C, or equivalent) or above
Must be willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A desire to learn more about the wider fire and security industry
Electrical skills would be a bonus
Comfortable working at high, and low heights, due to the nature of the role
Training to be Provided
This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.
Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Watford training centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
