Job Description
Assist with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of a variety of systems, including CCTV, access control, fire detection, intruder alarms, ANPR, and IP-based technologies across diverse premises.
Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
Listen carefully to instructions from senior engineers and supervisors, and act on them with accuracy and initiative.
Safely operate power tools, lift and carry equipment, and work at height using ladders.
Deliver excellent customer service, representing the company in a professional and respectful manner on client sites.
Attend college as required and remain committed to successfully completing the Fire, Emergency & Security Systems (FESS) Apprenticeship.
Entry Requirements
GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above is desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and clients.
Good IT literacy, with the ability to learn and use industry-related software and digital tools.
A full, clean UK driving license is preferred. If not currently held, a commitment to obtaining one by the end of the third year of the apprenticeship is expected.
Training to be Provided
This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.
Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Watford centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
